Today’s update brings a new full-screen option and file manager. You can go into full-screen mode (similar to when you are watching a video) by clicking the icon in the upper-left-hand corner. Use the escape key or click the same icon again to go back to a normal view. A new files page is available to show everything you have uploaded into the system, with information about the files and images you have added and where they can be found. You can search and sort to get to what you are looking for quickly.

Version 2.3 has a much nicer mood board editor. You can drag stuff around to change the order and removing and adding new images is easier. As a reminder, you can add a mood board to just about anything.

Fixed an edge case where if an author deletes a Scene that is included in a Chapter but does so outside of the Chapter edit page, exporting a Word DOCX file would throw an error. Since the Chapter still had a reference to the deleted Scene (which is normally handled the next time the Chapter is edited), it tried to read whether the Scene was active or not. Boom. |

Users were encountering 502 error pages. These issues have been resolved by a complete rewrite of the back end security systems. We had to take a totally different approach. The result is a much more stable (and secure) system. Zero errors have been encountered during testing of these improvements. Also made some much-needed usability enhancements on mobile. |

Webpage barcodes! At the bottom of each webpage, the author will now find a high-resolution QR code that never expires. You can save that barcode as a file to use on a flyer or business card. To save the barcode, you can right-clicking on it and selecting “Save image.” On mobile, it may be long-tap. It also finds the page if the page is renamed. So is a page has a title of “Welcome!” and a public URL of: https://writercafe.me/347/welcome If the title changed to “Welcome Back!”, it would change to: https://writercafe.me/347/welcome-back The QR code will still go to the correct page, even if the URL changes.
